Blue Devils hold their Lead Over Vanguard at NightBEAT

Last night in Winston-Salem, NC, at NightBEAT, Blue Devils posted a 93.925, while staying undefeated. Santa Clara Vanguard over the past couple of weeks were narrowing the gap between them and Blue Devils and got it down to 0.013 point which was the smallest margin of victory in DCI history at the Southeastern Championship in Powder Springs, GA. But last night, Vanguard scored a 93.575, which increased the gap to 0.35. This was not the ending Santa Clara Vanguard fans and some DCI finalists were expecting, since in the recent weeks it looked like Vanguard could surpass Blue Devils. But the 0.35 gap is still small and Vanguard could end up surpassing Blue Devils in the next two weeks. But these last few face offs between the two corps have shown that this could be a very close race to be the 2017 DCI World Class Champion.
